POLISHED CONCRETE Northern Beaches
If you’re thinking about making a statement inside your home in the Northern Beaches with polished concrete, we work with highly experienced and qualified experts at Mason Concreting to ensure that your project is completed correctly. Polishing concrete is a complex procedure that necessitates specialised equipment and methods. Our skilled specialists will be able to prepare a lovely and long-lasting finish for your Northern Beaches home or business space.
What is Concrete Polishing?
Polished concrete is a type of flooring finish that uses diamond abrasives to grind the concrete’s surface, revealing and accentuating its inherent qualities without the need for a floor covering. It may be used to create a variety of distinct finishes depending on your taste, and it is a time-consuming operation.
Polishing concrete is both time-consuming and laborious, but the end results are well worth it – You’ll have a lovely, long-lasting surface that’s simple to maintain.
Concrete polishing is a fantastic option for both residential and commercial spaces on the Lower North Shore. It’s ideal for areas that see a lot of foot activity, such as schools, colleges, stadiums, and office buildings. The smooth finish is simple to maintain and clean, and it looks great.
If required, we may also pour the concrete in place and provide a decorative mix from our suppliers: Geostone and Ablestone. These unique concrete mixes can give your house or business a more modern appearance as well as provide you the opportunity to select and match colours to compliment decor.
THE BENEFITS.
Low Maintenance
Slip Resistant
Stain Resistance
Long Lasting
Polished concrete is also a long-lasting flooring option. It can tolerate a lot of foot traffic and shows less wear and tear over time. This makes it an excellent option for places with heavily frequented areas like schools, hospitals, and stores.
Polished concrete is ideal for walkways, kitchens, and other areas where a lot of foot traffic from kids and pets is expected. Many of our clients like polished concrete over different flooring types and finishes because it requires less time to replace and maintain the floors in their homes.

FAQs.
Polished concrete is attractive and simple to maintain. All that’s necessary is a sweep or vacuum, followed by a light mop. We recommend Carbon Elite Clean, which is a specialized polished concrete floor cleaner from Carbon Elite Flooring (Carbon Elite Clean 1L).

Polished concrete mixes are similar in colour and texture to coloured concrete or exposed aggregate. There are many polished concrete mixtures to select from, much like choosing a coloured concrete or exposed aggregate combination outside.
Our two providers, Ablestone and Geostone, have created appealing polished concrete mixtures that are attractive to a wide range of design and anaesthetic preferences. To obtain the most up-to-date colour charts contact us today.
Matte, satin, and high-gloss are the three options for finishes:
Matte: This is a popular choice, as it provides a natural-looking polished concrete floor, yet minimises slipping hazards. The resultant flooring has a subtle, low sheen finish.
Satin: A mid-range option with just the right amount of glitz—not too bright, but still modern and well-finished. This is a popular choice for both Northern Beaches residential and commercial properties.
High gloss: This is an excellent choice for making a statement indoors. High gloss is the way to go when it comes to a beautiful glimmering level of shine as well as highly reflective qualities.
We can perform both the concrete polishing and installation of concrete as a singular contractor, rather than having to engage the services of two different businesses. This allows us to give cost-effective alternatives to our clients. The cost per m2 of polished concrete floors will be different depending on the concrete mix selected.
When it comes to concrete polishing, it may be used to restore a space at a reasonable cost when compared to other flooring alternatives in locations where the concrete has already been installed.
